Our BTEC Level 3 Sport and Outdoor Activities course offers you a direct route to university or employment in the outdoor and watersports industry for students age 16 – 18.

The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Outdoor Activities is the equivalent to studying 3 ‘A’ Levels at college, giving you employability options and the opportunity to access University Courses.

Real Qualifications

Alongside academic studies, students will participate in a wide range of adventure sports and activities. As you progress through the 2 year course, you will pick up a multitude of recognised national governing body qualifications.

Real Future

Holding the BTEC qualification and newly acquired national governing body instructor qualifications, you’ll have direct access to employability options both in the UK, and abroad. In addition to instructor qualifications, you will also gain real work experience to support your qualifications.

Over the last 25 years, BTEC qualifications have helped millions of people develop the skills they need to get on in life. Engaging and inspiring, these work-related qualifications are suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities. What the Students Say

“I have really enjoyed this course because I have been able to try new and exciting sports and develop new hobbies alongside my sixth form studies. I’m looking forward to graduating and taking my experience abroad to continue my career as an instructor for my gap year before UNI”

Asha Lang (2nd year student)

“The course have beaten my expectations massively. I have learnt so much more than I expected and it’s amazing. The instructors have shown us all the different opportunities we can have through water sports and doing this course.”

Maia Hussain

My favourite sport is defiantly wakeboarding, I just absolutely love it. I’m really happy now we have actually started driving the cables, ever since I was a little kid I wanted to be an instructor and everything is coming into place its just absolutely ideal”

Jude Black

Before this course I was expecting to do a BTEC with a lot of coursework and very little time for practical, but I was startled by how fun this course is. To do watersports for two days a week and get an extended diploma in BTEC Sport it is just amazing. After this course I will be moving to France where I am hoping to get a job as a wakeboard cable driver, as well as using my diploma in a three year university course in sports management.

The course has so many opportunities and fun qualifications to get. As a watersports fan I highly recommend the course for anyone who loves water and having fun while getting recognised qualifications.

Seb Beale

“This BTEC course has been so valuable to me because it has improved my social skills, built my confidence and I have made some awesome friends. I am really excited to expand my watersports career into the yachting industry.”
