I found there are many things to appreciate with having completed lessons 1-12z First, breaking down the info into chunks coupled with clear summaries at end and in writing. At end there was a wonderful Multiple choice quiz which further aided in my retention. unlike other courses, I walked away confident with the information I needed and feeling less overwhelmed! I am excited to share with my husband and future nanny! NOTE: This reviewer received free course access in exchange for their honest review.

Read MoreI recently took the BabyCenter 3-stage Sleep Solution course course and I must say, it has completely transformed the way my little one sleeps. Before taking the course, my baby was waking up multiple times in the night and I was constantly exhausted. However, after implementing the techniques I learned in the course, my baby is now sleeping through the night and I feel more rested than ever. One of the things I appreciated most about the course was that it was tailored for any child between 0-12 months. The course provided different course material for each stage of a child's development, so I was able to access information that was relevant to my baby's age and specific sleep challenges. This made the advice much more applicable to my situation and helped me to feel confident that I was using the most effective techniques for my baby's sleep needs. The course was well-structured and easy to follow, with the instructors providing practical tips that I could easily implement at home. The course covered a range of topics, including sleep schedules, sleep associations, and soothing techniques, and I found all of the information to be incredibly helpful. I also appreciated that the course emphasized the importance of consistency in creating healthy sleep habits, and provided strategies for overcoming common challenges that can disrupt a baby's sleep. In addition to the course material, I found the PDF notes to be a valuable resource. They were well-organized and provided helpful summaries of the key points covered in each section of the course. The inclusion of the PDF notes made it easy to refer back to the material and reinforce the strategies that were most effective for my baby's sleep. Overall, I highly recommend the course to any parent struggling with their baby's sleep. With tailored course material for each stage of development, practical tips, and helpful PDF notes, this course is a comprehensive and practical resource that can make a real difference in your baby's sleep habits and your own quality of life. Read MoreBeing first time parents, this course showed us a wealth of information. Our baby is not born yet so we are unable to put many of these things in practice, but we are prepared with the tools to have better sleepful nights. The videos were concise and questions being asked felt relevant with the content. The fact that it was broken up over several videos made it a lot easier for us to watch it with our busy schedules. It was also in bite sized information and wasn’t too overwhelming or too brief. Besides the videos, there’s also PDF’s and other resources to review and help you with your journey. We think that this course would help everyone from expecting parents to those who will try anything to get their Angels to sleep. Good luck out there and may we all have a good night’s sleep soon. So much! You’ll get 21 bite-sized videos (totaling more than two hours) on all of the infant sleep topics that BabyCenter parents ask about the most: newborn sleep, naps, sleep regressions, sleep training, and so much more. Each video also comes with a PDF download of lesson notes (so you don’t have to take them yourself!). And there are even optional quizzes to test how well you’ve retained the information, as well as two booklet-based lessons, like a nap guide for older babies.
There’s also a private community group within the BabyCenter Community that’s exclusively for parents and caregivers who are taking this course.
This course is broken down into three stages – 0 to 12 weeks, 3 to 5 months, and 6+ months. So no matter where you’re at in your baby’s sleep journey, there is easy-to-understand information to help you and your baby get the sleep you both need.
Many parents also tell us that they like to take this course while expecting, so they can find out what to expect from their baby’s sleep patterns and habits before they arrive.
There are a few things: First and foremost, this class is taught by Olufunke Afolabi-Brown, M.D., a mom and a board certified pediatric sleep doctor who also has her own sleep consulting business. Her background makes her uniquely qualified to share information that’s effective and safe for helping your baby get the sleep they need at every stage. We've paired her with Anna Jimenez Lyle, a mom who learns alongside you in the course and asks the sleep questions we know come up most often for parents and caregivers.
Another key point: While many baby sleep courses are focused on, say, the newborn stage, or 3- to 5-month-olds, this course is broken down into three sections that will carry you through your baby’s first year. You essentially get three baby sleep courses for the price of one, making it a great value.
And if you find yourself in a situation where you’d like to sleep train your baby, this course offers three different methods, including one for parents who want to minimize their baby’s crying. Most sleep courses offer just one method (and imply that theirs will work for everyone), but we know that every baby is different and every family is different. That’s why it was important to us to offer a few sleep training options, all of which are research-based and proven to be safe and effective.
All of our sleep training methods also focus on bedtime, so you can still pick your baby up when they wake up throughout the night (which we know many parents find reassuring!).
Yes! We have two separate lessons on naps, broken down by stage, since a 3-month-old’s nap patterns will be quite different than an 8-month-old’s.
There are a variety of factors that will affect how quickly you see results, including how old your baby is, the plan you choose to follow from our course, and your baby’s individual quirks. Some families see a significant improvement in their baby’s sleep in as little as three nights. For others, it can take up to two weeks to see results. The important thing is to stay consistent with Dr. Brown’s advice, and you will see results.
The BabyCenter 3-Stage Sleep Solution offers options, some of which do involve crying. (In the course, we also break down how research shows that crying during sleep training has no negative short- or long-term effects on your baby.) There is also an option for sleep training that minimizes any crying from your baby, since we know many families prefer to go that route.
The course is quite comprehensive, but if you have a question that isn’t answered, we encourage you to take advantage of our private community group for parents and caregivers enrolled in this course. In addition to utilizing the group for support and seeing what other parents are asking, you can rest assured that BabyCenter editors will be checking back weekly to answer common questions that come up.
We made BabyCenter Courses because we believe that every parent should have access to the best advice possible, from the best pediatric experts possible. Course fees allow us to partner with top healthcare professionals, some of whom typically have months-long waitlists.
We work with these experts to create and medically review all of the information in the course, as well as to package it in a format that’s easy to digest, complete with short videos and PDF downloads that you can re-reference whenever you need them.
We’re positive that you’ll love our courses – and we will happily give your money back if for some reason you’re not satisfied within 30 days of your purchase date.
We encourage you to visit our extended FAQs for more details on this policy, as well as answers to other questions you might have.
We feel strongly about making BabyCenter Courses widely accessible. So each month, we give out a limited number of free courses to parents who couldn’t otherwise afford them. All we ask in return is for an honest review. If you’d like to apply for this program, click here.
