Last week, The Meadows Psychiatric Center in Centre Hall, PA recognized Human Trafficking Awareness Day. The FBI conducted a presentation on Human Trafficking and Sextortion followed by Robin, from Passages, who shared her story as a foster parent who fostered a sibling group that were victims of labor trafficking and abuse. She brought along her foster son, Luke, who experienced this abuse and wants to help others recognize and provide help for victims of human trafficking. #ThisIsUHS

Hospital Leadership at Corona Regional Medical Center, located in Corona, CA, meets with patients every day to ensure they are meeting expectations. Recently the group had an Infection Prevention Class to reinforce the techniques on how to prevent spreading infectious germs. Our Quality/Infection Prevention leader, Dr. Buhmi Kothari, reminded them how to effectively wear personal protective gear when they are visiting a patient who is in isolation. Last week, The Hughes Center in Danville, VA hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for their brand-new, 96-bed replacement facility! This facility will feature educational spaces and sensory tools designed to address the special needs of children with autism and intellectual disabilities. #ThisIsUHS

Making History! Congratulations to the team at Mountain Youth Academy (MYA) in Mountain City, TN, on cutting the ribbon of their beautiful new 120-bed Residential Facility treating Trauma for youth ages 5-17.
