This month, Marc Jacobs had the incredible opportunity to participate in the National Black MBA Association in Philadelphia, where we joined forces with fellow maisons from LVMH. Our Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition, Mishaal Anwar, had the privilege of representing our brand, spreading our passion, and contributing to our unwavering commitment to fortify our belief in the profound impact of diversity and inclusion. Witnessing the passion and determination that each attendee offered as they shared their career aspirations was nothing short of inspiring. The energy and enthusiasm emanating from all attendees were undeniably remarkable! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended the event and expressed interest in learning more about our company and the exciting opportunities within our teams. We also want to express our appreciation to Jasmine Humphrey, Taylor Thompson and Corey Smith for their outstanding efforts in organizing and ensuring each maison was set up for success. Your contributions were invaluable, and we look forward to more incredible experiences like this in the future! 🌟 #NBMBAA #DiversityandInclusion #LVMH

Marc Jacobs joined in the fun for LVMH's inaugural Intern Day, an exciting event bringing together over 150 bright young minds from 15 celebrated Maisons for a day of engaging discussions, professional development, and career exploration led by established professionals from LVMH’s teams. Following these programs, we had the chance to connect with many of the attendees through an immersive session led by Rob Williamson-Noble on our brand history, values, and core product codes, giving them a chance to try on and learn more about our products firsthand, and find out more about career opportunities with us. Thank you Jasmine Humphrey and everyone else at LVMH that helped make the event such a success, and for connecting us with these great talents who will help shape the future of our industry! #MarcJacobs #LVMHTalents

Meet Logan Pierce, our Project Manager - Retail Operations, and hear about his experience with MJ: What is a fun fact about you? I have worked at Marc Jacobs for over one third of my life! I started in stores, working in over half a dozen during my time at MJ, and made my transition to HQ in 2022 to continue my Marc journey.   What has been one of your most memorable accomplishments in your role? Opening our 50th store in North America last year was a very proud moment. This was a huge accomplishment for our internal Retail teams and the brand in general. What has been one of your favorite parts of working at MJ? It’s been great to work for a company that encourages people to be themselves. I’m very grateful to live and work in an accepting place like NYC surrounded by supportive co-workers. I realize this isn’t the case for everyone, and so I try to advocate for others when I can; this year I marched with other Marc Jacobs and LVMH employees in the NYC Pride March to support the LGBTQIA+ community. What is something you are passionate about outside of work? I've recently become involved with The Ali Forney Center, an incredible resource for LGBTQIA+ homeless youth in the NYC community. I’d love to spread awareness of their work and vital impact to the queer community. You can learn more about the important work they do here: The Ali Forney Center

Meet Josh Frechette Meza, our Senior Manager of Distribution Center Operations, and hear about his experience in both the retail and corporate sides of MJ: Tell us about your path at Marc Jacobs: I started as an MJ Collection Sales Associate in 2007 in our Boston location, later transitioning to Marc By Marc and then moving behind the scenes into stock/operations. At the end of 2012, after spending a few years training others in the back of house to assist in other locations, I was asked to move to our Las Vegas location and made my way back to a customer-facing role. I returned to MJ in 2021 after spending a few years expanding my skillset outside the brand. Currently, I oversee the day-to-day operations of our US warehouses.   What is your proudest moment at MJ? It’s always changing. The brand is growing every day and it's a great feeling to continue being a part of this.    What do you love about your role? It's all about fashion. The launches, seasonality, and the rush. Picture what was happening behind the scenes of the old movie "The Devil Wears Prada".   What do you love about working at MJ? The people. Starting in 2007 and making a recent return to see familiar faces gives you that welcome back feeling. Then you add in so many great new people over the years and it just works.   What is a fun fact about you? I played kickball in Las Vegas for a traveling team called Fainting Goats.    What’s your favorite MJ product? I have my light grey collection suit jacket circa 2008 that was the only one ever made!

Meet Marisa Louviot, our Director of Global Training & Development, and hear about her experience joining MJ: What is your role at MJ? I joined in July 2022 as MJ’s first Global Training and Development role. I have the privilege of educating and supporting our retail and corporate teams with the product knowledge, selling behaviors, and the skills they need to confidently fulfill their roles every day.    What is something that you’re passionate about?  I’m passionate about empowering people to be the best version of themselves. It’s my purpose in life to bring confidence and joy to everyone I meet.   What was the most exciting thing about joining MJ?  Marc Jacobs is a brand that I’ve referenced and talked about numerous times during my previous career in Beauty, and I feel so lucky to now be a part of a brand I’ve admired for so long. Now I have an excuse to talk about his famous Grunge show of 1992 with as many people as possible!    What do you love about working at MJ?  MJ truly values our contributions and is always willing to listen and try something new. In all the years of my career, I’ve never felt such an acceptance of who I am – we are celebrated for our unique perspectives.   What is your proudest moment at MJ so far?  Accomplishing the first ever “Brand Day” immersion for our new store at Oak St, Chicago. Team members learned all about Marc Jacobs’ brand history and DNA, Product Knowledge, and most importantly - it was a full day to invest in our newest talent.   What is a fun fact about you?  I was a professional dancer for 10 years in Los Angeles – you may have caught me in your favorite music video during the early 2000s!    What’s your favorite MJ product?  The Monogram Quilted Puffer Jacket because it’s the warmest jacket I have ever owned, and the bold shape and monogram makes me feel like I’m walking the runway.
