Like many of you, I'm traveling on Thanksgiving. Our kids rotate the hosting of the holiday, and this year I’ll be at the home of one of my daughters, albeit the one who lives closest to us.

OPINION: This is in response to the letter written by Linda Bolin stating that the focus should not be on Trump but on Biden. Scandals of long ago (Trumps) are still with us — he is in a trial in New York right now regarding his financial shenanigans. Hunter Biden's problems are his own, not the president's.
The city of Napa is restarting its red-light program, which it shuttered in 2017 due to problems with the vendor at that time. But changes in state law, and its proven effectiveness, make this new version one that locals can be comfortable with.
The twists and turns regarding the fate of the Mayacamas charter school have been exhausting, the editorial board writes. Though perhaps frustrating that the Napa County Office of Education board pushed its vote this week, we believe they were right to do so as a lot of questions remain unanswered.
The editorial board applauds the opening of the former Motel 6 in north Napa for the area's unhoused residents. However, they urge that it be seen as the first step in a very long process toward fixing the issue of homelessness and affordability.
