Even the smallest gesture can make a big difference in the lives of others. Just ask #TeamCVS colleagues Kristine Carmichael and Elma Dobric, whose compassionate actions combined with their quick-thinking teamwork saved a life. 👋 Kristine, a beauty consultant at our CVS Pharmacy in Encinitas, CA always strives to create meaningful moments with customers and give them a warm welcome as they enter the store – and, if she hadn't greeted a young man named Dominic on one fateful day in January, life could have been very different. ❗ Noticing that Dominic was in distress – his face was red, his lips were purple and his breathing was off – Kristine immediately teamed up with pharmacist Elma Dobric, who recognized that Dominic was experiencing an allergic reaction and administered an EpiPen. The two later learned that Dominic had this reaction from almonds in a pastry he’d eaten. 💐 After being cleared at a local hospital, Dominic returned to the CVS Pharmacy with a bouquet of flowers and a "thank you" card – grateful to Kristine and Elma for their attentiveness, their teamwork and the genuine care they showed him that quite literally saved his life. Every day, colleagues like Kristine and Elma show us what it means to rise to the challenge and go the extra mile to care for others. Making a difference in the lives of our consumers – and each other – is at the heart of all that Team CVS does.

Reminder: Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday – and with it comes a hot debate over why we #SpringForward each year and lose an hour of sleep in the process. Which side are you on? 🤔   👉 On one hand, setting our clocks forward one hour each spring helps us to take advantage of longer daylight in the evening – including after working hours for many.   👉 On the other hand, #DST has been found to negatively affect our health and disrupt our body's natural sleep patterns.
