In response to Hurricane Debby’s devastation, the IRS has extended tax return filing and payment deadlines for individuals and businesses in four states: Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The relief is effective for federal filing and payment deadlines that began on August 1, 2024, in Florida, August 4th, 2024, in Georgia and South Carolina, and August 5, 2024, in North Carolina.
