Hahaha, I was using dictation on my phone in English and midway my care attendant asked me something. I responded in Japanese and want back to my phone to see the lovely phrase:

First time (not) riding . Bus operator had not been trained on operation of the wheelchair lift. It’s 1.5 hours after scheduled departure & the bus has just left without me. I received the attached email prior to its departure.

It is devastating to hear that my friend passed away suddenly yesterday. He did so much in his short time here on earth and in Japan but his impact on the world of #Disability scholarship, and his friends’ lives, will echo for years to come.

While it is great that they are open-sourcing the code, it is too bad that the app needs to shut down…
This is great! I wish more cities would follow Melbourne’s lead and celebrate #accessibility as a selling point without it being all “disabled travel” feeling.
