The opportunities afforded by Meetup are great. The app has ALWAYS been frustratingly glitchy, with users reporting the same errors again and again; promises to "look into them" are clearly disingenuous. The messaging system with the uncessary send arrow that must turn blue before sending has ALWAYS been problematic, and clicking into events that then hang in a loading limbo has been a consistent problem for years. These issues NEVER get fixed, despite promises they'll look into them.

As an organiser, I find this app catastrophically bad, and it's getting worse by the day. There are so many bugs, it's a constant source of hassle. It used to work fíne. Another classic example of fixing what isn't broken so now it's completely broken. It's got so bad now that users can't even sign up for our events, creating endless extra work for us (we are volunteers). I predict a mass exodus. STOP adding and changing things, fix the things that don't work first.

as if the last one wasn't bad enough... another forced update, while I was in the middle of using the app. the app now opens by default to the "explore" tab, rather than the "home" tab as before - very annoying, and can't find any way to change it in settings. app seems to go from bad to worse. why "fix" something that used to work! meetup - don't leave a reply here asking me to write to someone, just take the comments you get here forward to the people you're asking us to contact.

What's new
When you've RSVPed to an event, you can now access event chat from your next event card on Home to make it even easier to communicate with the organizer and other attendees!
This release also includes some under-the-hood improvements to keep things running smoothly.
