Akismet keeps an eye out for incoming spam and automatically filters it out from your site’s comments and contact forms, so you can focus on more important things.

Our service is integrated into top WordPress plugins such as Jetpack, Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, Formidable Forms, and countless more. If you’re a developer, implementing Akismet through our API couldn’t be easier.

If your site has advertising or affiliate links, sells products or services, solicits donations or sponsorships, or is in any way related to a business or educational organization — your site is considered commercial.

While we rely on customers to self-select their plan, we do perform periodic audits of accounts to ensure the correct plan was selected.

API calls are individual requests made to our Akismet servers. These requests can be a comment or form spam check, or any other type of requests made to the comment-check endpoint of our API.

We do not count requests made to the verify-key, submit-spam (missed spam reports), or submit-ham (false positives reports) endpoints towards your API limit.

Note the limit on API calls is per month and on an account level.
