I’m Sarah Myland Kaufman: urbanist, transportation planner, tech advocate and futurist.
I improve urban life in the areas of transportation, technology and giving a megaphone to those who need one.
My work is focused on 21st century mobility: crisis impacts to urban flows, transportation tech for people with disabilities, boosting women leaders in the industry, political protest on city streets, and new patterns in micromobility.
I’m also the instructor of Intelligent Cities: Technology, Policy, and Planning and Advanced Projects in Urban Planning at the NYU Wagner School of Public Service.
I’ve been named to City & State‘s New York’s Responsible 100, Transportation 100 and Tech Power 50 lists, and cited in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, FiveThirtyEight, AM New York and WNYC.
I love NYC to a fault, can spout endless transit trivia, and live in Manhattan with my family.
This Sarah Kaufman is not the dance reviewer, photographer, or ultimate fighter by the same name.
