Having an XML sitemap can be beneficial for SEO, as Google can retrieve essential pages of a website very fast, even if the internal linking of a site isn’t flawless.
The sitemap index and individual sitemaps are updated automatically as you add or remove content and will include the post types you want search engines to index. Post Types marked as noindex will not appear in the sitemap. Learn more about XML Sitemaps.

6. Log in to your WordPress website.
7. Click on ‘SEO’ in the dashboard.

11. Go back to Google Search Console and click ‘Verify’.

The steps below are a temporary solution as manual edits made to theme files may be overwritten with future theme updates. Please contact the theme developer for a permanent solution. We’ve written an article about the importance of breadcrumbs for SEO.

To implement the breadcrumbs function in Yoast SEO, you will have to edit your theme. We recommend that prior to any editing of the theme files, a backup is taken. Your host provider can help you take a backup.
Copy the following code into your theme where you want the breadcrumbs to be. If you are not sure, you will need to experiment with placement:

Common places where you could place your breadcrumbs are inside your single.php and/or page.php file just above the page’s title. Another option that makes it really easy in some themes is by just pasting the code in header.php at the very end.

In most non-WooTheme themes, this code snippet should not be added to your functions.php file.
Alternatively, you can manually add the breadcrumb shortcode to individual posts or pages: [wpseo_breadcrumb]

How do I noindex URLS?

Yoast SEO provides multiple options for setting a URL or group of URLs to noindex. Read more about how to do this in this guide.

Why it’s time for me to stop with this Yoast SEO plugin…

It's time for me to stop with this Yoast SEO plugin which brings me absolutely nothing in the free and paid version! I had these two versions on 3 commercial sites and for 2 years the referencing has become catastrophic, even if the referencing is very well presented (a job for nothing with this plugin).Since June 2021, Google no longer processes information, since all datacenters are full, Google no longer crawls sites. Google has discovered a new business with its natural referencing which is no longer quite natural (a time which is not given by Google)… To boost the SEO of your site, you have to go through a Google certified partner and unfortunately Yoast SEO is not a Google partner! So ultimately, we only pay for advice that we can get for free on the net. Otherwise, wait a whole year with a good basic SEO. Yoast SEO and its AI has no text building logic. It tells you that in your text, you must write a minimum of 300 words in your text! If I sell a pair of socks or even a pen… I find them where the 300 words? It is impossible to put 300 words, so in the end you are penalized by Yoast SEO for your SEO. For me, I made the choice to put two sites on Shopify to try, because fed up with Wordpress and its plugins which, "anyone puts anything", it's a carnival on WordPress!. Today, I no longer have SEO problems on Shopify, nor problems with updates and other bullshit… I have regained my freedom and I work as accurately as possible.

Yoast has now decided to promote harmful gender ideologies. They call it "inclusive" while ignoring that they're excluding billions of people who don't believe in these fringe ideas.

Horrible, DOES NOTHING if your site's NOT ENGLISH None of the "focus keywords" I try to add will be accepted because they are not ENGLISH. They only want you to add focus keyword for popular phases and if it's not you can't even add it. Plus you don't even get the option to put in keywords for your article and page....... You know, one of the most important SEO feature. They just want you to pay the free version really doesn't do much at all.
