Dr. Young sees children, adolescents, and adults, predominantly through the outpatient clinic in Edina. He evaluates and treats a wide range of diagnoses, and attempts to bring an integrative, holistic approach to treatment. After completing his undergraduate work at Georgetown University, he worked as a mental health counselor on the West Coast for many years before graduating from Cornell Medical School. He completed his adult psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai in New York, and his child/adolescent fellowship at NYU. Prior to starting at PrairieCare, he worked with patients in the outpatient clinic, partial hospitalization program, and on the child/adolescent inpatient unit at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.  Dr. Young also serves as a consultant for the National Football League and Major League Baseball.
