PrairieCare Fund Mental Health Grants
Since 2016, PrairieCare Fund has awarded over $1 Million in grant funding to over 60 Minnesota school districts & non-profits! These funds are used to provide youth & staff general mental health education, increase awareness & responsiveness, prevent suicides, create calm spaces and much more. In 2023, over $200,000 will be available impact thousands of youth, staff, educators, families and community members throughout the state of Minnesota in schools and non-profit organizations.
This is the seventh series of grant funding awarded by PrairieCare Fund, and the amount awarded increased based upon the overall success of fundraising and the quality of the proposals received. The purpose of this grant making public charity is to support youth mental health innovations in education, services and research. The goal of this grant is to help create sustainable education programs for district and program staff to better identify and work with kids who may be struggling with poor mental health. Many of the proposals included regular staff education and seminars, as well as curriculum, that will be implemented into the daily educational routine for kids that promote resiliency and mental wellness.

2022 Grant Recipients
In May of 2022, PrairieCare Fund awarded $359,500 in grant funding to Minnesota school districts & non-profits. For the 2022-23 academic year, $340,000 will be making a positive impact in Minnesota schools. Minnesota non-profits will benefit from $19,500 to support youth mental health education and training to those who support or provide educational services to youth. PrairieCare Fund selected the following districts and non-profits based upon the overall impact and sustainability of their proposed programs.
