Grow with Google/Career Readiness Program offers BCC students an opportunity to earn money while increasing ability to find the tools and training they need to secure jobs and paid internships in their field of study.

The Google program offers 5 online learning paths each with individual lessons to increase their skill level. The program addresses how to build digital skills, explore career paths, land a great job, succeed at a new job and start their own business.

Opening Doors and Transforming Science Through SRP

Aissata Diop never imagined she would be working at a Department of Energy National Laboratory when she started her studies at Bronx Community College, CUNY. Born in New York and raised in Mali, she was fascinated by computers and technology at a young age, but it was her studies with Professor Eugene Mananga, Associate Professor of Chemistry and Physics at Bronx Community College, that would change her academic and career trajectory.

BCC CLIP Student Becomes a Doctor.

Anibelky Almanzar, known as Ani, came to the United States from the Dominican Republic in 2008 when she was 17. She spoke no English and wanted to fulfill her aspiration of becoming a doctor. She saw how people struggled and even died of illnesses in her country without access to medical care.

Ani heard about the CUNY Language Immersion Program (CLIP) at Bronx Community College through a friend in 2009 and graduated in 2010. The CLIP program changed her life and trajectory moving forward.

Four BCC Students Received Prestigious Kaplan Education Foundation Leadership Grants

We congratulate four of our students, who have received prestigious Kaplan Education Foundation Leadership Grants.

Established in 2006, the Kaplan Leadership Program helps high-potential, low-income and underrepresented community college students complete their associate's degree, successfully transfer and go on to earn a four-year bachelor's degree at the nation's most highly-selective schools.

The India Initiative for Research and Education Collaboration of CUNY CREST Institute (IICCCI) was officially launched on September 9, 2022, in the North Hall Library building, the Bronx Community College through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony.
