Background[edit]

Seth MacFarlane worked with Andrew Cottee on arrangements, unlike most of his albums which have Joel McNeely on the arranging task. Seth mentioned that he had been a long fan of his "supremely artful and buoyant orchestrations", also mentioning that after collaborating with him on his fifth album Once in a While, he wanted to see what he would do with an "up-tempo album."[2]
