NVUSD Music Programs

Music Encourages Lifelong Learning

NVUSD's mission is "Transforming lives by instilling and inspiring lifelong learning in every student."

Music is an integral part of your child’s education and, through participation in NVUSD music programs, students can excel in all areas of their school careers and beyond. Research reinforces that students who participate in music do better in school and life. Students become self-disciplined, responsible and accountable, and develop strong interactive social skills. Through participation in music education, a child’s thinking skills are boosted, well-being is fostered; it inspires, motivates, and builds skills for the future.

Music begins for most NVUSD students by 4th grade and continues through 12th. Music offerings include instrumental and choral music classes.  Elementary music is generally offered once a week with daily classes at the middle and high school levels.
