What is the Wellness Program?

Components
Wellness Team Wellness Referrals Wellness Services
We are a team of social workers, counselors, family liaisons, nurses and administration. We provide early identification, assessment, referral, support and service coordination. We work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, families and community agencies. School teachers, staff and administration consider students’ behavioral and emotional needs, and make referrals to the Wellness Center. Students and parents can also visit the Wellness Center without a referral, at anytime as needed. This could include individual and/or group counseling, health support and education, case management, and/or parenting workshops. All these services are offered in a safe and welcoming space. Services are provided and based on the student’s need and the Center’s resources. We also have a strong network of community-based services to support our families.

Thanks to a federal grant, NVUSD funding, and our community partners, all services are free to students.
