Bath tub for toddler

Our bathroom is shower only and I'm looking for a bigger bath tub for my 18 months old DS.  We are currently using The First Year's Infant To Toddler Tub now and it is too small for my DS.  However I don't want to waste the money if my DS could only use the new bath tub for short period of time.  I do some research and looks like Hoppop Bato Baby Bath Tub and PRIMO EuroBath are bigger.  Please provide your comment.  Thanks.

  • Both look like baby tubs for infants. Sorry! Maybe the blow up duck tub from target? Only $10!

  • I think that this anti-slip mat is a great tool. My son used the inflatable duck bath until he was 11 months and now he's outgrown it. Try this - http://www.onestepahead.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=536513&cmSource;=Search

  • I agree that you should stay away from the infant tubs and look for an inflatable bath tub, simply because of the price (check google). We used the inflatable duckie tub from Target for my DD when we lived at a place that only had a shower. She loved it and it worked great until she was able to take showers. Luckily we've since moved and she can take baths again.

  • We also used that inflatable duck tub - it was perfect and DD loved it until she became too long for it.

  • I have the Primo and we love it (also stuck w/ just a shower) it's HUGE. It just fits in our walk in shower diagonally w/ about an inch to spare and my son has room to play and lay down in it even (DS is 19 months) I have no clue how to post pics on here, but to give you an idea it's a snug fit inside a regular size bath tub, a friend of mine bought one and ended up having to take hers back b/c it actually was too big to fit in her bathtub. I've never tried the other one you have posted but I remember looking at it on amazon also when I was in the market for a tub, I don't remember which website I ended up on, but I finally found one that had pics w/ a child in the tub who was quite a bit smaller than my son and he didn't seem to have much room to spare so I passed on that one. Hope this helps.

  • Thank you. I also find another tub - FlexiBath Flexi Travel Folding Baby Bath Tub, which is up to 4 years old. Please give me more suggestion. Thanks.

  • I have the infaltable Duck tub and Ethan outgrew it by 9 months. He was too long to fit in it. We have 2 full bathrooms in our house one had just a bathtub no shower and the other is just a shower. Instead of going with a bathtub maybe you could go with a Sterlite Sotrage container and just put in a non slip mat. The container would be bigger and probably cheaper too.

  • Bump
  • At 22 months my kids started taking showers. We did it one day when we were in a hurry and found they loved it. We switched our shower head to one you can take down and spray the kids with. Make sure you put a bath mat down first.
  • ^^ this. My LO was about 18 months old when I first put him in the shower with me. I did it because I had just given him a bath and then as I was putting him to bed he threw up on both of us. I didn't want to go downstairs and run another baht, so I put him in with me since I need a shower to. To my surprise he LOVED it!. He spends most of the shower sitting or laying on the floor splashing around. I give him cups or bath toys to play with too.
