Ah geez. Writer Greg Bear has passed away. Bear's classic novella "Blood Music," widely anthologized, is collected in our Big Book of SF. He had a wide and fascinating body of work and also helped found San Diego Comic Con. Bear was a lovely gracious guy and will be much missed.
