"I had a great trip and feel like a changed man in many ways..I truly believe that Spain has saved my life..I have grown a sense of self-awareness and an appreciation for my life..I just want to live life to the fullest and I thank you for leading us on this great Adventure!!"
~ William Crossley, Spanish Program, Spain 2012

"This was truly the best experience, it challenged me in so many ways. Physically, it was the wonderful walking we did each day which is just a way of life in Spain. Emotionally, I was challenged everytime I saw a beautiful work of art, the beauty in each and every structure that was built, the new friendships we enjoyed, the graduation and up until the moment we had to say goodbye... Academically I enjoyed all the education we were provided I know that I will benefit from all the teaching over and over. Soon my Spanish will be second nature to me I look forward to that day! Culturally I took it all in like a breath of fresh air. I learned a great deal from this trip and it will be with me forever. I have benefited in so many ways it is hard to put into words. Thanks for the opportunity."

"Spain was the best experience of my life! I feel so fortunate to have been able to live out such a rewarding experience. I hadn't expected to meet so many amazing people from all over the world. The Universidad had such
an amazing atmosphere and I felt like I was going to school in Harry Potter's Hogwarts. I had so much fun playing soccer with all the other students, swimming, and going to all the discotecas at night with them. I wanted to go back the moment I left."

"Our experience in Salamanca in the summer of 2007 was excellent!! This is a great way to learn the language and culture of Spain. We lived with a Spanish family and attended Spanish classes each day for three weeks. We have an appreciation for our Prof. Maria Villagomez and the Napa Valley College for this opportunity."

Martha and Richard Pastcan, Summer 2007, Salamanca, Spain
"I was really excited to study Spanish abroad after working so hard in class. After I awoke on my first morning, I walked down to the main street where I encountered a policeman. I wasn't sure what to do, and too tongue-tied to ask. The officer looked at me and said, '¡Pasale!' That was great advice for crossing the street. It was also great advice for someone who wishes to become bilingual. At some point we must quit thinking about grammar and
cross into communicating with people who don't speak English.
I am so glad I started my studies at NVC and continued with two wonderful international summer study experiences. It is not easy to become bilingual, but it is possible, and it is so rewarding."
¡Sí, se puede! y ¡Vale la pena!
