Yoast is the old way of doing things. Google does not care about Yoast SEO meta data when it index websites. Modern Google goes for the content that you provide. Besides this, Yoast takes alot of time to create “green” lights, and the content often is bad. You can not trust Yoast that it will rank your “red” unique content that Google likes nowdays. I do not see Yoast SEO as a future plugin and I have been using it for many websites before and it always gives you a headache. Your are wasting time on writing bad content, just to please Yoast SEO and get “green” lights. By using Yoast SEO plugin, you will get a large website, that will be slow and get bad results on Google PageSpeed, and this is very bad for your SEO.

    Hi @niklasdevuser2022,

Thanks for your review. We’re sorry to hear that you’re not happy with the Yoast SEO plugin. Regarding your comments, we’d like to make a couple of clarifications.

First of all, you’re right that Google may show a different title or meta description in their search results than the ones you’ve defined in our plugin (or any other SEO plugin). Note though that in most cases the SEO title tag that your page outputs is still the most likely used. Even if the SEO title you’ve defined is not shown in the search results, it will help you rank for a keyword. You can learn more about why writing great page titles is beneficial for your SEO in this article.

On the other hand, we know that sometimes it’s tempting to attempt to get all green lights on the SEO analysis. However, these are general guidelines, not strict rules that will hurt your ranking. If you feel your page is well written, properly formatted, and has a good user experience, then these warnings can be safely ignored. You can read more about this in this article.

As for your last comment, we simply don’t agree. Our plugin, as any other plugin you install in WordPress, consumes resources. That said, our development team goes to great lengths to make the plugin as fast as possible (our indexables approach is an example of that). You’ll find other performance improvements recently added to the plugin in the changelog. So, our plugin shouldn’t slow down a website in any meaningful sense, unless you’re on extremely cheap/bad hosting, or have an enormous or extremely complex site.
