Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » Good but needs to keep up to date

  • I have been a fan of this for a few years but unfortunately, of late, seems unreliable. No image notification when I do have images. I have been looking up to see if Yoast detects Webp files and mixed answers. No keyword in the introductory paragraph when there is… Just a poor experience compared to previously. Please sort it out.

    Hi @jdowling16,

    Thanks for your review.

We understand that you’re experiencing several issues with the Yoast SEO plugin. I can imagine how frustrating it’s when the SEO analysis results are inaccurate.

First of all, we’d like to clarify that Yoast SEO is able to detect WebP images added to the content editor. Since version 19.2, the plugin also includes support for WebP images for OpenGraph output.

If the plugin doesn’t detect WebP images on your website and you’re getting inaccurate feedback in the SEO analysis, we’d appreciate it if you could create a new topic in the plugin forum. Our support team will look into the issues and assist you further.

    Thanks!
