Anti-Spam Policy

MailPoet has a zero-tolerance policy towards spammers. We’ll cancel your account and we won’t refund you if we judge that you’ve been spamming.

We work extremely hard to ensure our own reputation as email senders for the benefit of all our users.

If you know of or suspect any violation of our policy, please notify us at abuse@mailpoet.com.

Who is a spammer?

At MailPoet, we define a spammer as a user who:

  1. sends emails that result in an unacceptable number of invalid addresses (hard bounce), typically when sending to a list that’s over a year old
  2. sends emails that result in an unacceptable amount of spam complaints
  3. uses a purchased or rented email list, sells or rents their email lists
  4. uses third-party email addresses, domain names, or mail servers without proper permission
  5. uses lists from another website or service you own, even one from another MailPoet account
  6. sends emails to public or role-based email addresses (i.e.: webmaster@domain.com or info@domain.com)
  7. fails to include a working “Unsubscribe” link in each email that allows the recipient to remove himself from his mailing list
  8. fails to comply with any request from a recipient to be removed from his mailing list within 10 days of receipt of the request
  9. fails to include in each email his valid physical mailing address
  10. sends cold marketing emails

Prohibited content

In order to avoid disturbing, questionable or inappropriate content, MailPoet will not accept to send the following types of content:

  1. Drugs or illicit products
  2. Pharmaceutical products (legal drugs and medicine)
  3. Clickbait content (i.e.: tricks to get rich overnight; tips to lose weight faster; sensationalized content and misleading information)
  4. Lead generation, work from home and making money online content
  5. Multi-level marketing
  6. Opinions that will offend others in respect to their color, sexual orientation, gender, political inclination, religion or age.
  7. Gambling
  8. Malware or adware
  9. Adult content
  10. Prostitution or escort services
  11. Brokerage or rental services of contact/email lists
  12. Cold marketing emails

If your website content falls under any type of this prohibited content list we’re free to deny or cancel any subscription you have with us that allows you to send your emails with our own sending service.

Security

We expect you to ensure your site, domains, signup and other forms are secure and follow best security practices to prevent any abuse, breaches and unauthorized use of software.
We reserve the right to terminate sending services partially or in full if such uses can be expected or have occurred.

If you spam:

Each case is unique and will be treated quickly and accordingly.

  1. We’ll suspend your sending
  2. We’ll probably cancel your account
  3. We’ll decline a refund
