Polished and beautiful gallery built for simplicity, appareance and speed. It features a Gallery Block, but you can also use a shortcode or let it override the standard WordPress gallery. Features

Uses WordPress and Gutenberg naturally without hacking it, and more importantly, without imposing its own system and making your website dependent of it. It means you can use the Meow Gallery and one day switch back to the WordPress core rendering, or anything else. It works everywhere, easily, and fits naturally in WordPress. We will never blow it up with features that most users do not need.

Shipped with the popular layouts such as Tiles, Masonry, Justified (like Flickr) and Square (like Instagram). Demo here.

Compatibility

Since this gallery works with WordPress in a natural way, it should be compatible with any other plugins or themes (of course, it depends on how those have been exactly implemented). The following plugins might interest you.

  • Lightbox: The choice of the lightbox is yours, so this gallery does not come with one. However, we made the Meow Lightbox. It follows the same principles.
  • Lightroom: It fully works with Photo Engine, its Media Organizer, and its attributes. If you wish to use to control it with Lightroom, this is also easy!
  • External links: If you want to create links from your images to external URLs, we recommend you the Gallery Custom Links plugin.
  • Audio: You can also add sound, music or any kind of audio to an image. To do this, you can use Audio Story Images.

This plugin is SEO-friendly, so for example, the list of images will be added in your sitemap (Yoast SEO does this).

The Best Gallery Plug-in for me

This Gallery Plug-in is fast, clean and very flexible. I have tried many different plug-ins to do something that should be fairly simple and they all let me down in one way or another; for example not allowing me to sort the contents by the date of the image. With Meow Gallery it just works and it is flexible enough that I can choose how to sort the gallery. But the biggest feature is how it links in with Meow WP/LR Sync. Being able to reflect my Lightroom collections into WP Galleries without a load of time intensive work just fantastic and brilliant. Perfect 🙂

Lightweight with awesome support

Plugin can be used as a shortcode or a content block. I like that it was easy to figure out how to make it work. If you aren't afraid to edit your functions.php file, you can also add additional functionality, like listing in reverse order or randomizing. Support within the Wordpress support forum is impressively fast, and they will make suggestions to help you achieve what you want. A+ plugin developer!

Stunning photo plugin

After several tests I chose Neow Gallery and Neow Lightbox (Pro for the functionalities), these two plugins are exactly what I wanted for my photographer's site. Technical support is responsive and competent. A wish : more choice of transition in the slides, among other things a crossfade transition, which personally I find the most pleasant.
