Job description
1. Develop responsive, standard-compliant themes for WordPress
2. Install, test, and debug WordPress plugins, and create WordPress plugins as needed.
Maintain existing WordPress sites.
3. Extensive knowledge and experience of building WordPress CMS websites using the best practice & de-facto standard plugins.
4. Evaluate designs, wireframes, and other deliverables for development feasibility and collaborate with designers as needed.
5. Contribute to cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent display in major supported browsers on Mac, PC, iOS, and Android.
6. Creation of custom post types and custom fields.
7. Creation of clean, logical, well-documented, and re-usable code.
8. Theme/Template integration.
9. Good understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser issues.
10. Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, Jquery, and ajax.
11. Creation of plugins/widgets/Themes written to conform to WordPress coding standards.
Required Candidate profile
1. Experience in HTML, CSS, and Jquery is Must.
2. Experience with PHP 5 and OOPs is beneficial.
3. Knowledge of WordPress and WordPress Theme customization
4. Knowledge of building custom shortcodes
5. knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions and hooks.
6. Strong knowledge of WordPress & WordPress Template Hierarchy
7. Expertise and knowledge in UX design systems and processes
8. Experience in working with WordPress at a PHP
9. Basic knowledge of SEO would be a plus.
10. Experience in CodeIgniter and Laravel is an added benefit
11. Ability to manage projects.
12. Good communication skills.
13. Proven 3-4 years of work experience as a WordPress developer.
