11/18/19

Hair

All actors should bring in their own brush and comb with name on each and keep them in their costume bag. We do not like to share between kids but will if we have to. We do not want to spread lice.

  • All chorus girls to come with pigtails or if hair is longer pigtail braid
  • All chorus boys to come with hair slicked down with gel, parted and combed to one side, either side is fine
  • All other cast members will have their hair done at call time

Makeup

  • Please apply foundation (liquid preferred) and concealer to all non lead cast members. Be sure to cover up the shadows under the eyes. By Friday the kids are all tired and have giant circles so we'll start on Wednesday covering them up.
  • Blush, lipstick and powder will be applied at school.
  • Please send concealer and foundation in a bag for your child. You may also send blush, lipstick and powder if you prefer, but these are not necessary. Be sure to label the bag/makeup with your child's name.
  • The more ready they are, the easier it will all go. It is OK to go a little darker as the lights will be bright.
  • If your child has an allergy, please do their makeup or provide it to us. Place in a plastic bag with their name on it.
  • All specialty makeup for the lead cast members will be applied at school.

Final mandatory choreography rehearsal is tomorrow, 11/2. Due to our canceled rehearsal last Sunday, please note the NEW ending times:

2:30-4:00 - ALL CHORUS

2:30-6:00 - Farmer Ensemble, Cowpoke Ensemble, Leads (except below)

2:30-7:00 - Curly, Laurey, Will, Ado Annie

Chorus and Ensembles must bring their costumes to rehearsal tomorrow, 11/2. Please contact Stacy James if you have any questions.

There will be a Dine & Donate this coming Tuesday, Oct 15th between 4:00pm and 8:00pm at Chipotle (1715 Trancas St). Bring in this flyer, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you're supporting the cause and 33% of the proceeds will be donated to St. John's Lutheran School Theatre Program! Tuesday Rehearsal Update: Rehearsal for both Chorus and Ensemble members will end at 3:45pm this Tuesday, Oct. 8th. Any student not picked up by 3:45 will be dropped off at PALS.

By now you should have received an email from our Costume Crew Heads detailing what is needed for our Cowpokes and Farmers. Please keep your eyes open for those emails. In the meantime, the information is also posted to our Costume page at this link.

HOT LUNCH HELP NEEDED- The Musical has signed-up to serve Tuesday hot lunches in October. If you are willing/interested in serving lunch in October as part of your volunteer commitment to the Musical, please sign-up today and/or reach out to Dan Schwarz: danielschwarz@sbcglobal.net or 415-578-8576 (call or text). There are five Tuesdays in October and we need to let Cindy Zeller know if we can cover next Tuesday (10/1) or if our service needs to start on 10/8.

The Dine & Donate benefitting our musical has been scheduled for Chipotle on Tuesday, October 15th, 4:00-8:00 PM. Please mark your calendars and invite everyone you know. They ordinarily give us a very generous percentage so help us take advantage of this great fundraiser and give yourself a night away from the kitchen!
