Alberto Villaluna

Head of Resource Development

Alberto Villaluna is the Head of Resource Development at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, bringing to the role more than 20 years of experience establishing successful relationships with individual donors, institutional and corporate supporters and increasing stakeholder engagement with mission-driven organizations. In his role at EFF, he provides leadership for all philanthropic, revenue-creation, and partnership strategies to advance EFF’s mission and priorities. As a member of EFF’s Executive Team, he works with EFF’s Executive Director and organizational leadership to create and implement fund development plans that beneficially advance EFF’s goals and strategic priorities.

He most recently served as the Director of Development, Partnerships, and External Affairs at ITVS, the leading incubator and presenter of independent film in the United States. At ITVS, Alberto was responsible for fund development, partnership creation with a focus on diversifying funding, and creating an influential network of supporters and advocates for the organization. He also served as chief adviser to the CEO regarding board development strategies. Prior to ITVS, Alberto was the Vice President of Network Development at the American Leadership Forum - Silicon Valley. While at ALF-SV, he led the organization’s capital campaign resulting in record donations and engagement from individual donors. He has also held the role of Executive Director and has held consulting positions with nonprofits. Alberto Villaluna is an ALF - SV Senior Fellow (Class XXV) and serves as a Facing History and Ourselves Bay Area board member. He graduated from Walsh University and attended Capital University School of Law.
