Side effects and when will it work

Hi, I have been taking 20mg fluoxetine for 3 weeks or more but symptoms are still not better . I’m going to ask doctor if I can go up to 40mg. Can anyone tell me if they are taking that dose with Nash and it’s ok . Thank you . Panic Pat.

Any advice or just sympathy would be appreciated NB I also take hydroxychloquin, nifedipine in the winter and fluoxetine ( I have Raynaud's)

Hi I’ve previously taken fluoxetine and had very little mild side affects but this time on 20mg like before I’ve had diarrhoea not really bad but not great. I’m about 4 or 5 weeks in taking it. Will this get better and calm down?

I stopped it and went onto Fluoxetine which I have been on for about a year. The fluoxetine was not so bad initially, but I went through a great deal of stress for six months between August and December when my mum had to have a serious operation and I felt I was solely responsible for her care.

Has anyone had good results with long term (years) of taking fluoxetine HCL 10 mgs, once a day ?

Has anyone been prescribed fluoxetine for menopause? Just been given them for night sweats and feeling low now and again. Been taking them for a week now and woke up feeling sick and have had a headache most of today and feel extremely tired.

Fluoxetine at the moment, but she has been on others previously. She also takes olanzapine. Both medications are known to affect the thyroid. Is there a way to find out if these medications have caused the Hashimoto's?

I have just changed meds from duloxetine to fluoxetine on a cross taper system.

Terrible morning anxiety on fluoxetine

She has previously failed and actually did very poorly on fluoxetine, esitalapram .. Both stimulant molecules and Strattera at lowest dose caused irritability. Guanfacine seemed to work pretty well but we still saw room for improvement. High doses just caused a flat affect.

I’m on fluoxetine and it has lowered my libido and ability to orgasm. I think it has also increased my anxiety.

I am on levothyroxine, metformin, amitriptyline, vitamin D and fluoxetine. I can’t work and had to give up the MSC I was doing last year.

Has anyone successfully tapered down from 40mgs to 20mgs fluoxetine and how did you go about it TIA x

Fluoxetine meds I'm just wondering if anybody has been helped by taking an anti depressant?

Hi there I have suffered health anxiety for most of my life been on fluoxetine for about 18yrs and it has been managed .in November I was feeling more anxious and they where increased too 40 mg After a spell in hospital in November 16 days I have had such bad anxiety the doctor increased them too 60mg

I am on quetiapine 50mg and fluoxetine 25mg prescribed via a private psychiatrist. I have also been referred for CBT. Is anyone going through the same thing or has gone through it and recovered if yes please can you advise how. I would appreciate this greatly any advice is appreciated

Can anyone who has been on fluoxetine tell me the effects they have had on it and whether it helped them? I've been on 20 mg for over a month and wondering if someone would share their experience with me? Thank you !

Last month I posted a question about SSRIs (specifically fluoxetine) and RLS. I’ve been trying again to withdraw from fluoxetine, this time paying more attention to the half life of the drug and tapering more gradually. I’m encouraged to report that my RLS seems to be reducing.

I was also taking fluoxetine for anxiety at the time (for which one of the listed side effects is irregular heartbeat). I have not since had another afib episode, and the obvious question is will I have another one?
