Every year we welcome a group of enthusiastic high schoolers to participate in our internship program, which fosters the next generation of environmental stewards and thoughtful nonprofit leaders.

Your sponsorship with provide interns with:

• Training and experience working on a farm at an educational non-profit.

• Hands-ons education in sustainable farming and animal husbandry

• Professional Development - presenting to Connolly Ranch campers and counselors on different aspect of farming and working will fellow interns to create and enact solutions to farm-based issues that come up throughout the season

• A letter of recommendation for college and job applications

• Seasonal stipend

In 2021, Connolly Ranch’s high school interns completed the following:

• Upgraded the Beckstoffer Poultry barn - providing predator proofing, expanding the free range footprint, designating a chick area, and relaying the dirt floor

• Built the platform and erected the UBS tent - providing an additional indoor educational classroom space for cooler seasons

• Planted and maintained the summer and fall Edible garden - planting, watering, weeding, turning compost piles, mulching, and harvesting one of our most treasured outdoor classrooms on the farm.
