Who handles the finances in your household? Please explain why this person handles the finances ?

Hello, I'm 10 weeks pregnant, and we have terrible insurance that won't cover anything for maternity. However, since we both work full time at the moment, we make too much to qualify for Medicaid or Baby Your Baby.  What would you recommend for financing a pregnancy without insurance?
