The Rhode Island Department of Health's (RIDOH) Center for Healthy Homes & Environment invites applications from organizations or agencies affiliated with or a part of a nonprofit, school, community-based agency, coalition, and or grassroots organization to support and expand upon Environmental Health Risk Assessment Program's (EHRAP's) efforts to engage with and educate communities on the impact environmental hazards have on public health. The Rhode Island Department of Health's (RIDOH) Center for Healthy Homes & Environment invites applications from organizations or agencies affiliated with or a part of a nonprofit, school, community-based agency, coalition, and or grassroots organization to assist the Environmental Health Risk Assessment Program (EHRAP) gather information about fishing practices and fish consumption throughout the State's waterbodies. EHRAP is specifically focusing on communities that may rely more heavily on fishing for subsistence purposes and consume fish at higher rates than the general population, including communities of color, low-income communities, and indigenous communities. The Rhode Island Department of Health's (RIDOH) Health Equity Institute invites applications from organizations and agencies for mini-grant opportunities for innovative projects aimed at improving the health and wellness of refugee families and communities. Grantees must demonstrate their ability to promote health and emotional wellness for refugees in Rhode Island preferably who have arrived within the last two years, although applicants may choose to focus on serving refugees that have been in RI for the past five years. Applicants are encouraged to be innovative in their approach. Applications Due: July 25, 2022

The Rhode Island Department of Health Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC Program) and the Rhode Island Family Visiting Program (RIFVP) are requesting proposals for the provision of services to 1) Participants enrolled in the WIC Nutrition Program within each of Rhode Island's high need communities to better provide accessibility to services; and 2) The RIFVP from qualified vendors in the eleven identified high-need communities of Central Falls, Cranston, Lincoln, Newport, North Providence, Pawtucket, Providence, Warwick, Washington County, West Warwick and Woonsocket to implement Evidence-Based home Visiting (EBHV) programs. A vendor can apply to provide services to one or more areas. The applicant must be located in at least one of the communities in which it is applying to provide services. Vendors will also be expected to provide services to families in the communities surrounding the 11 high-need communities, if eligible families are identified. Eligible applicants must be community-based public or non-profit agencies that are in good standing with the federal government. The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) invites applications from eligible community-based organizations and agencies to support innovative projects that address the overdose epidemic in Rhode Island.. RIDHDS anticipates awarding five (5) to seven (7) organizations up to $4,950 each. Eligible applicants are non-profit organizations and/or government entities with experience providing services, support, and engagement to populations affected by overdose in the state. The Rhode Island Department of Health's (RIDOH) Diabetes Heart Disease and Stroke Program (DHDS) invites applications from eligible organizations and agencies to participate in the planning and implementation of a virtual or in-person blood pressure self-monitoring program (BPSM). The Community BPSM funding period will begin July 18, 2022 and end June 5, 2023. RIDHDS will award up to four (4) organizations up to $4,500 each. Eligible applicants must have an existing infrastructure with the capacity to support implementation of a health promotion program and affiliated with or a part of a not-for-profit, community-based agency, coalition, and/or grassroots organization that has a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) or the Federal Tax Identification Number.
