Qualifying for subsidized child care.
Community Resources for Children maintains the “Childcare Eligibility List” (or CEL) for subsidized child care programs in Napa County. The CEL is available to families in need of child care for children ages 0-12, or in special circumstances, the child care needs of children over the age of 13 who have certain documented special needs such as a physical or a behavioral disability. By signing up on the CEL, you allow multiple subsidized programs in Napa County to access your information when they have openings in their programs. This will improve your chances of obtaining financial assistance with your child care costs.
Due to funding limitations and tremendous need, there is no guarantee of financial assistance. However, the first step in receiving help paying for child care is to submit a CEL application. After you submit an application, remember to update your CEL information at least every 3 months or if there are any changes in address, phone number, income, or family size. These changes may affect your eligibility so keep your CEL application current.
Once your application has been submitted you will only be contacted by a child care program when and if they have funding available to enroll new children.

- CANV Kids Child and Family Development Center – Myrtle Avenue – Must apply via the CEL
- Napa Valley College Child Development Center – Contact college directly
- Napa Preschool Program (Napa County Office of Education) Must apply via the CEL and contact NCOE
