ADAA's 2023 Annual Conference is excited to head to Washington D.C., April 13-16, 2023. Submissions Open August 15, 2022

Please note: the first time you visit the Submissions site, go to the “Actions” panel to Create an Account. If you have an existing ADAA account, use the email associated with that account and create a new password. You will need to save this for subsequent logins. Update your profile information when prompted, and note the required fields.

Conference submissions are peer-reviewed and ranked on the basis of quality, merit, relevance, and ability to advance practice and research. ADAA offers a few session spots to invited speakers.

Session Type, Awards, and Poster Descriptions:

Workshop: Provides hands-on, in-depth experiential clinical training and case presentation for a particular skill or treatment area, or career development (such as promoting your practice, using social media for recruiting participants for studies, or writing a successful grant). Workshops must include active involvement of the audience. Workshops are 60 minutes.

Symposium: A set of presentations around a specific topic, including a unique title and abstract for each presenter. Priority is given to symposia that are innovative, multidisciplinary, or present new research. Sessions are 90 minutes.

Therapeutics Pipeline (new in 2023!): Therapeutics Pipeline submission should include any new compound or intervention that has not been previously presented and include the opportunity to be presented as a poster. The goal is to generate enthusiasm for the many novel therapies under exploration. Therapeutics Pipeline reports are 10-minutes.

Roundtable: Interactive discussion with up to five experts (including chair) on a focused topic, issue, theme or question in research or practice. Roundtables may include short statements during which presenters outline approaches to the same question but do not make formal presentations. Sessions are 60 minutes.

Poster Presentations: Individual presentation in a poster format sharing new research findings on or innovative clinical techniques for topics including anxiety, depression, and co-occurring disorders. Submissions should include title and abstract. Format: Background, Methods, Results and Conclusion - each section allows for 3000 characters (including spaces). Preliminary analysis of new data must be included in abstract. Poster presenter must attend conference and be on-site with a printed poster for their presentation. .

Poster Spotlight (new in 2023!): A select number of individual presentations chosen from the top scoring posters. These are 10-minute oral presentations during the conference with 5 minutes Q&A from the audience.

• apply to mid-level and advanced learning audiences.
• are related to the 2023 conference theme - From Science and Technology to Evidence-Based Practice: Enhancing Access through Integration.
• includes diversity, equity, and inclusion topics.
• focuses on cutting-edge and emerging therapeutics including virtual reality.

Award Submissions:

• The Donald F. Klein Early Career Investigator Award is given to an early career investigator for the best original research paper on neurobiology, psychopharmacology, psychosocial treatments, or experimental psychopathology of anxiety disorders and depression.

• The Career Development Leadership Program (CDLP) Award is designed to encourage early career clinicians and researchers to engage in creative discourse about anxiety, depression and co-occurring disorders in a diverse, multidisciplinary community.

Please pay special attention to spelling and capitalization in your submission. ADAA will not proofread your submissions prior to peer review. Once a proposal has been submitted no additional changes can be made.

Note: If your submission is accepted, all participants are required to register for the conference by February 15, 2023, to be included in the program.
