The Anxiety Institute is a clinical practice specializing in the treatment of anxiety and related disorders for adolescents and young adults, ages 13 to 25. Our multidisciplinary team provides evidence-based treatments while nurturing the patient in their local home environment. These advanced, proven techniques focus on treating teens and young adults while coaching the parents who guide them.  

With the opening of a new location in Boca Raton, Florida, we seek a skilled clinician and leader to serve as Clinical Director for the site. The Clinical Director must be eager to help recruit, hire, and train new clinical staff and join with the senior management team to help forge the company’s expansion and strategic direction.  At Anxiety Institute, our staff is comprised of genuine, compassionate, and empathetic people who focus on the value and goodness in every person. Position Summary 

Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO), the Clinical Director works closely with the senior management team and provides exemplary leadership, management, supervision, and treatment consistent with the Anxiety Institute’s therapeutic orientation and core values. They will also lead the clinical team to provide innovative, evidence-based treatment to individuals, groups, and families. Upon hire, staff completes a formal clinical training program, reinforced by a quarterly company-wide professional development series. Clinical Directors provide up to three hours of weekly clinical supervision for each primary clinician. Clinical Directors receive up to two hours of supervision each week with the CCO and senior team members. 

Responsibilities 

New Location

  • Work with senior management to recruit, hire and train clinical and administrative staff for new Anxiety Institute location. 
  • Implement Anxiety Institute model of care across Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient programs at new Boca Raton, FL location. 
  • Work with CEO and the Anxiety Institute marketing team to engage with area clinicians, hospitals, schools, and education consultants to introduce the Anxiety Institute model of care to greater Palm Beach County.   

Clinical

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members in the development of individualized treatment plans and in the monitoring and treatment of clients. Facilitate research, as needed, for treatment plan development utilizing best practice, outcomes-based research. Ensure client treatment plans are developed, communicated, and coordinated among key staff for daily and weekly scheduling. 
  • Develop and manage the implementation of strategies and plans for fearful and resistant clients and parents related to attendance, commitment, and completion of treatment. 
  • Assist in family therapy, as needed, to support clinical team and assure forward momentum within complex family systems. 
  • Design, implement, and analyze individual and program outcome studies using quantitative (e.g., anxiety and mental health assessment measures) and qualitative methods (e.g., parent/client interviews). Utilize outcome measures to improve treatment strategies, justify continuation or cessation of treatment, and coach individual clinicians for continuous improvement. 
  • Implement performance improvement activities using the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program, and modify clinical practices based on CQI recommendations. 

Supervision & Training  

  • Train, support, and supervise licensed and license-eligible clinicians and support staff on the use of empirically supported approaches for the treatment of anxiety disorders. 
  • Ensure clinical strategy and documentation associated with treatment management (e.g., treatment plans, clinical notes, transition plans, discharge plans) are aligned with evidence-based protocols, promote the highest standard of care, and conform to all licensure regulations. 
  • Assure, through example, exemplary customer service and clinical professionalism for prospective, current, and former clients, family members, external providers, and referral sources. 
  • Provide day-to-day management of administrative and clinical staff including counseling and performance evaluations with applicable documentation  
  • Provide training opportunities for clinical faculty to ensure compliance with in-service requirements. 
  • Acquire and maintain current clinical knowledge, skills, and standards set forth by the Anxiety & Depression Association of America (ADAA) and American Psychological Association (APA). 

Operations

  • Implement and drive operational processes to ensure efficient and effective management of the clinic including on-boarding of new clients and their families, initial and ongoing treatment planning, family education, and termination of treatment. 
  • Respond and participate with staff in addressing client, parent and stakeholder questions, concerns, complaints, and clinical emergencies. 
  • Oversee patient and staff scheduling, ensuring quality care while maximizing operational efficiency. 
  • Direct objectives, manage curriculum, and ensure effective delivery of client and family psycho-educational content (e.g., group therapy, presentations, etc.). 
  • Assist in staff selection and recruitment as requested by founders, and coordinate orientation for new staff. 
  • Maintain client medical records and department files as required by state law and the ethics and best practices of the American Psychological Association (APA). 
  • Ensure compliance with all facility and Company policies, Federal and State laws, regulations, and guidelines including HIPAA. Ensure clinical faculty credentialing, health and safety, and training files are updated as required. 
  • Develop a system that provides effective and consistent mental health consultation services to clients as well as training and support procedures for faculty providing this service. 

Admissions & Marketing

  • Meet with prospective families and clients to develop rapport and inspire confidence in Anxiety Institute clinical services and establish leadership as Clinical Director. 
  • Conference with the Anxiety Institute Admissions team and new families to discuss transition, ensure smooth hand-off from admissions/intake to treatment, and identify any special services that may be required. 
  • Assist and collaborate with Director of External Affairs and Chief Marketing Officer on marketing and outreach activities. 

Qualifications 

  • Current licensure as a mental health clinician in the State of Florida, or Florida state licensure within 6 months of hire. 
  • A minimum of 10 years of individual, group, and family therapy experience with a specialty in CBT using exposure therapies and E/RP protocols in treatment of Anxiety and OCD.  
  • Affinity to work with school/college-aged individuals and their parents. 
  • Experience/proficiency using E/RP protocols for OCD, and/or a personal understanding of anxiety disorders and a professional passion for its treatment.  
  • Experience supervising masters, practicum students, and pre-doctoral and post-doctoral interns. 
  • Clinical, operational, or research experience in an intensive outpatient or residential program. 
  • A driver’s license, with clean driving record as well as insurance, is required for this position.  
  • Ability to pass numerous background checks (e.g., criminal history education credentials, etc.).

Anxiety Solutions of Boise: Psychologist/Therapist +

We are a group private practice specializing in anxiety disorders and OCD. We have offices in multiple cities and we are seeking a new therapist for our Boise office.

We offer all the perks of private practice (good pay, flexibility in setting your schedule, lots of vacation time, generally a low-risk clientele to work with) but without any of the pain points of private practice (having to do marketing to get clients, administrative work, startup costs and overhead, managing a business). You also get to be part of a great team of people to work with and have consultation and support readily available.

We take care of all of the work of marketing and getting clients. We have a dedicated administrative staff that handles scheduling and billing (for all of our offices), so administrative work for our therapists is kept to a minimum. Other than training/consultation and minimal paperwork requirements, your time will be spent doing the actual clinical work.

Your client load will be almost entirely clients with anxiety disorders and OCD. A small percentage of your caseload will also be working with PTSD, trichotillomania, and skin picking disorder. All treatment is one-on-one individual therapy. Most of your clients will be adults but we would ideally like someone who is open to seeing adolescent clients as well. Someone open to seeing younger children would also be a major plus.

We are most interested in finding someone who already has specialized training and experience treating anxiety and OCD using exposure therapy, but we are open to applicants with less experience with this specialty. We also have a strong emphasis on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, so if you have experience with ACT, that is helpful as well. 

Depending on level of prior experience with anxiety/OCD, exposure therapy, and ACT; there will be a training/case consultation component for the first 6 months to a year to train you up on doing this type of work.

We would ideally like to find a licensed psychologist but are open to Master's-level therapists as well.  At minimum, a master's or doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology or social work is required.

Starting compensation would also be based on experience level. Our therapists' compensation is based on a percentage of the fees that they collect from clients. If you are a psychologist who already has experience and training in treating anxiety and OCD, you would earn 60% of the fees that you collect. We will go over the full math of how this works out during your interview, but with a full caseload, that comes out to $100,000 per year. Those with master's degrees and/or less experience and training in anxiety and OCD would start at 50 to 55% of fees collected, depending on degree and level of prior experience, and eventually go up to 60% after training is complete.

Depending on level of prior experience with anxiety/OCD, exposure therapy, and ACT; there will be a training/case consultation component for the first 6 months to a year.

Those with master's degrees and/or less experience would start at a lower percentage of fees collected, depending on degree and level of prior experience, and have their percentage increase over time.

Anxiety Solutions of Denver Postdoctoral Fellowship and Private Practice Career Track +

We are a private practice based in Denver, Colorado with branch offices in Reno, NV and Boise, ID (both of these offices were opened for former postdoctoral fellows as part of this program). We are highly specialized in the treatment of anxiety disorders, OCD, and other related problems. We practice behavior therapy with a strong emphasis on exposure therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

We are excited to offer a postdoctoral fellowship position at our practice, with a unique program that (optionally) flows into a planned career with us after the fellowship is over. This would take one of two forms: 1. We open your own branch of our practice in another location at the conclusion of the one-year fellowship. Or 2. You stay with us at our Denver practice after the fellowship is over.  These possibilities are of course dependent on circumstances and expected client load working out, so please know that only the postdoc year is guaranteed when you accept the position, but the hope would be to continue on to a career with us and so far this has happened for every postdoc we have had (2 have opened their own office in another city, 2 have stayed in Denver, and one of our current postdocs plans on joining the Reno office next year). Our postdoctoral fellowship position will be a unique opportunity for those interested in a career specializing in treating anxiety and OCD. Fellows will receive extensive training and supervision in assessment of anxiety disorders, treatment plan formulation, behavioral theory and its application, exposure therapy techniques, ACT, and other topics related to behavior therapy and the treatment of anxiety disorders. Fellows will carry a caseload of roughly 25 hours per week seeing individual clients and will also receive weekly supervision and consultation, as well as some guided self-study on research literature about anxiety and OCD. Your client load will be almost entirely clients with anxiety disorders and OCD. A small percentage of your caseload will also be working with PTSD, trichotillomania, and skin picking disorder. Most of your clients will be adults, and for the postdoc year you will also be expected to see child/adolescent clients (if you continue with us after the postdoc year, you can choose what ages you want to work with).

Our Clinical Outreach Coordinator manages and interfaces with clinical referral sources in conjunction with key members of our clinical and administrative teams. Working throughout southeastern Wisconsin in our hospitals, residential facilities, and clinics, you will gain cross-functional insights into behavioral health while working with clinicians and leaders, playing a role in projects and initiatives that daily touch the lives of our patients.  Over the course of 6 months to 2 years, participants will complete rotations in areas such as Marketing, Patient Access, Operations, Rogers Operating System (ROS), Clinical Effectiveness, Corporate, etc. Rotations are designed to last 1 to 3 months. When you complete the program, you will transition into a functional area that utilizes your strengths and matches the needs of the business. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Acquire a working knowledge and understanding of Rogers service lines

  • Carry out duties specific to each rotational assignment, including, but not limited to: Marketing, Patient Access, Operations, Rogers Operating System (ROS), Clinical Effectiveness, Corporate, etc.

  • Collaborate with management and internal clinical and non-clinical staff with various levels of expertise.

  • Participate in development training sessions as opportunities arise. This may include special assignments and/or key experiences essential to the nature of the program.

  • Acquire the ability to understand and assess data and service lines offerings to support patient care.

  • Understand the process improvement methodologies and apply those were applicable.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years healthcare-related experience

  • Master's degree in associated area of study preferred

  • Knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Willingness to relocate for off-rotation assignment.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the desire and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Position Overview:

At Rogers Behavior Health, therapists are valued members of the interdisciplinary team and collaborate directly with providers, behavior specialists, nurses, dieticians, and educational specialists to meet dynamic patient care needs. Our clinics offer Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Out-Patient (IOP) programs that range from three to six hours of treatment per day, five days per week.

Therapists train and work with program behavior specialists, providers, and clinical supervisors to implement Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure-Based Therapy interventions. Upon hire, therapists receive extensive orientation related to their role and Rogers Behavioral Health’s treatment modality.

Schedule:

Partial Hospitalization: Monday – Friday 8AM-430PM

Intensive Out-patient: Monday – Friday 10AM-630PM

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prior to working with patients, therapists must attend and participate in CBT Academy and other clinical trainings as deemed appropriate by the clinical director. Therapists must complete annual CBT, DBT, and other clinical trainings provided by Rogers Behavioral Health talent and development department.
  • Therapists must understand and provide patients with CBT, DBT, and Exposure-Based Therapeutic interventions based on Rogers Behavioral Health clinical standards of care while under the supervision of the clinical director.

  • Therapists must participate in weekly supervision sessions with the clinical director, supervisor, or lead therapist. In addition, they must participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings by providing communication related to the patient, family/support system, and utilization review needs.

  • Therapists must complete medical record documentation within agency requirements of time related to treatment plans, outcome assessments, psycho-social information, and other pertinent patient care data. This includes but is not limited to the documentation of mental health services according to applicable local and federal regulations and state payor expectations.

  • Therapists are required to participate in on-call phone rotation.

  • Therapists must support changes in staffing/scheduling when program or patient care needs require.

  • Therapists must participate in projects, tasks, and opportunities to improve skills and expand competency.

  • Therapists must adhere to the standards of the Rogers Behavioral Health Employee Behavioral Contracts.

  • Therapists must be fully vaccinated for COVID unless approved for medical or religious exemption.

Education/Training Requirements:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work, professional counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related field.

  • Must hold a valid state license to be considered for level 2 or be pursuing full licensure under supervision for level 1

  • Preferred experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Exposure-Based Therapy.

  • Completion of Non-violent Crisis Intervention and Basic Life Support training prior to direct patient care. Annual re-recertification is required.

  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication.

Weill Cornell Medicine - Postdoctoral Fellowship +

Weill Cornell Medicine and the Program for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Studies (PATSS) is seeking a full-time postdoctoral fellow to start immediately. Postdoctoral fellows will participate in clinical and research endeavors targeting survivors of trauma, which may include populations such as healthcare workers caring for COVID-19 patients, MST survivors, active-duty service members, veterans and their family members, and other trauma populations, including burn and World Trade Center survivors.

Training will be provided in state-of-the art-clinical assessment and treatment of trauma-related diagnoses distance technologies for the provision of treatment and virtual reality simulations in the treatment of trauma. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, providing evidence-based treatments, serving as project coordinator, aiding in recruitment, and other clinical and administrative roles. The individual will be an integral member of a vibrant trauma program.

Applicants should have the following qualifications: 1) doctorate from an APA-accredited doctoral program; 2) completion of an APA-accredited internship; 3) eligible for a New York State limited permit or have a New York State psychology license; 4) demonstrated interest in trauma. Interest in CBT, PTSD, and trauma treatment is preferred, as is a strong background in clinical research (scientist-practitioner). We anticipate hiring 1-2 postdoctoral fellows.
