One of ten finalists selected for the Coding for Community competition.  App East Orange! is built entirely on the open source software WordPress.  It is an online hub to support initiatives by the City of East Orange New Jersey’s green team and includes an online market place for local business owners, a website for the City’s planning department documents, and an internal social network platform. I was a team of one.

This civic tech competition paired New Jersey municipalities with the tech community to develop solutions to sustainability and public engagement issues at the local level.  Over fifty New Jersey municipal needs were submitted into the competition, and more than thirty teams developed solutions to address these local issues using technology.
