The Equity and Inclusion Initiatives team hosts a variety of programs for prospective students who have been historically underrepresented in engineering. From a one-day conference to an intensive eight-week summer research program, students gain invaluable exposure to life as a graduate student. Our programs offer participants access to research labs, application workshops and a chance to connect with peers and faculty.

Bay Area Graduate Pathways to STEM (GPS) is a one-day conference where students attend informative workshops highlighting the benefits of pursuing an advanced degree.
Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship
Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) provides undergraduate students with an eight-week summer research experience under the mentorship of a Stanford faculty member.

Stanford Exposure to Research and Graduate Education (SERGE) hosts prospective doctoral students for a fully funded visit to campus that includes tours of research labs and application workshops.
