Early life Dr. Aalap Dewara was born in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India to Mrs. Pushpa Dewara and Mr. D.C. Dewara ‘Suranganand’. Mr. D. C. Dewara “Suranganand” is a well-known Singer, Artist, Poet and Music Director. Aalap’s all four siblings not only have a kind ear to music but also his elder sister Dr. Sharda Dewara is the known Mand Gayika. Aalap’s love for music and his father’s able guidance worked wonders and at the age of five began his home schooling for music. His vocal training started under his first guru his father “D.C. Dewara” and after he was disciples of “Pro. Suman Yadav” who is a renowned artist of Gwalior Gharana. Aalap Dewara started composing for school and college in early life. He also performed at several National Level college competitions and won numerous award for ‘Best Singing’ by M.D.S. University as well as Rajasthan University. After completing his graduation he moved to Jaipur where he finished his Masters in Indian Classical Music from Rajasthan University and did initial grades from Trinity College, London, Board of the Trinity College of Music. Aalap has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Music by the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He worked on the topic “Fusion done by Creative musicians of Jaipur (Musical analysis)" under the supervision of Dr. Aarti Bhatt Tailang.
Aalap is a multi-instrumentalist musician. He is a prolific singer and can play multitudes of instruments. He is approved artist of All India Radio, singing as a regular artist of AIR.
Achievements: -
Composed a Fusion ‘YOGA ANTHEM’ Song on ‘International Yoga Day’ and Collaborated with 20 Country’s Yoga Experts. Performed in front of honorable Vice-President of India Sh. Vanckya Naydu on the occasion of National Teachers Award -2018 held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Two students was selected at Natioanal Level ‘Kala- Utsav’2020. Introduced digital learning tool and come up with personalized programmes for each music student. Represented to Rajasthan in Golden Jubilee Jamboree of the Bharat Scouts & Guides held at Chennai, Tamilnadu in 2000.
Represented to Rajasthan in 3rd Scarce / 13th National Jamboree held at Khurda, Orrisa in 1998. Participated and performing in the National Integration Camp held at T.M. Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur, Bihar in 2003.
