Position Papers
ADAA has signed advocacy letters and published the following papers and reports about mental health issues. ADAA is a member of The Mental Health Liaison Group (MHLG) - a coalition of national organizations representing consumers, family members, mental health and addiction providers, advocates, payers, and other stakeholders committed to strengthening Americans’ access to mental health and addiction care. MHLG and their partners work in a nonpartisan manner to advance federal policies that strengthen prevention, early intervention, treatment, recovery services and supports, and address the disparities that currently exist in the social determinants of health (SDOH). Comprised of more than 60+ member organizations MHLG is dedicated to elevating the national conversation around mental health and addiction. Together, we work to advance federal policies that support prevention, early intervention, treatment and recovery services and supports.
