Who is eligible for the program?
This program is intended for journalists and editors working for or regularly contributing to news outlets. A news organization is a newspaper, magazine, radio, broadcast, or online publication that focuses on delivering original news to the general public.
Please note that space is limited and approval is not automatic or guaranteed based on prior acceptance or group participation. All applications must be completed in full by the shared deadline in order to be considered.

What is the application window?
Applications are closed on May 19, 2022 at 5 p.m. PT. We receive a large number of applications each quarter and it requires time to review them all, so thank you for following our submission process!
What factors do you consider when evaluating applications for LinkedIn for Journalists program?
First and foremost, you must be a working journalist or editor.
Second, you must fully complete the application, including providing 5 work examples from the past 6 months or a link to your author page if you work at a major news outlet. All applications must be fully completed to be considered.
How will my account be upgraded?
After attending the webinar, you will receive a follow-up email within 2 weeks following the session with directions on how to upgrade your account with a unique Premium Business upgrade code.
If after 2 weeks you still have not received the email and have checked your spam filter, please reach out to us at journalisttraining@linkedin.com.
I took a webinar but did not receive a follow-up email with my upgrade code. How can I get it?
If you attended a LinkedIn For Journalists webinar with us, you will receive a follow-up email within 2 weeks following the session with directions on how to upgrade your account with a unique Premium Business upgrade code.

What if my job was affected by COVID-19 and I don't have enough work examples in the past 6 months?
If your job or work agreement was impacted by COVID-19, please email journalisttraining@linkedin.com detailing your employment status, previous work history, and any work in-progress to help us review your application.
Does the program accept students, professors, social media coordinators, or content strategists? What about information services?
Sorry, no. The LinkedIn for Journalists program is specifically intended for working journalists and editors.
The webinar time doesn't work for me. Can I still watch the webinar?
Yes, we want to ensure that this webinar is available to journalists globally. If you register for the webinar and do not attend, you will receive an email inviting you to watch the webinar recording. The recording will be available for one week following the live event. Please ensure you have applied for the program before applications close.
