Developing alternative ways to deliver deworming treatments in Pakistan also helped us reach hard-to-reach school-age children. We helped scale treatment to ~2.6M, school-age children, in 2021 compared to 212,000 reached in the 2020 pilot.

Worm prevalence has decreased dramatically in Kenya through regular deworming. Now in its 10th year, the NSBDP is targeting 5.7M children across 17 counties and 112 sub-counties, ensuring that Kenya's children remain free from worm infection. 3/4

Based on Nobel Laureate Michael Kremer & 's research, NSBDP provides free deworming treatment to children aged 2-14 yrs in at-risk areas, regardless of enrollment status. Evidence shows that deworming reduces school absenteeism and raises long-term earnings by ~14%. 2/4
