The Return to Work program

What is the Return to Work program?
Return to Work is a program designed for people who have been away from work for two years or longer and are looking to re-enter the workforce full-time. Through training and mentorship, this program empowers professionals as they reactivate their skills.
How it works
Candidates can apply for a role in the Return to Work program in several Meta departments including Software Engineering, Analytics, Technical Program Management, Infrastructure, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Reality Labs. If accepted, participants will be paired with an experienced manager to help navigate Meta as they re-enter the workplace. Throughout the 6-month program, they’ll receive training, mentorship, and the support needed to be successful while solving complex, real-world problems. At the end of the program, those who have demonstrated an ability to succeed will be considered for a full-time position.
Who should apply
No two career journeys are the same. The Return to Work program at Meta is designed for professionals who have been away from work for two or more years, have relevant work experience to the role they’re applying for and are interested in rejoining the workforce. Whether you’ve stepped away to pursue personal passions or focus on other priorities, the Return to Work program at Meta will help you ease back into work with confidence.
How to apply
There are several cohort start dates for the Return to Work program each year based on the department. Interviews for the program are conducted on an ongoing basis throughout the year. What happens during the Return to Work program

Training and Immersion

This program leads you back into the workforce so you can help solve the kinds of intricate problems people face every day. You’ll be given tools and guidance to make a real impact, and help bring the world closer together.

Mentorship and Community

In the Return to Work program, you’ll be paired with an experienced manager to help you navigate Meta as you re-enter this important phase in your career. You’ll also develop a strong peer group, supporting each other as you onboard together.

Relaunch your career

At the end of each 6-month Return to Work program, those who have demonstrated their abilities to succeed and have an impact will be considered for a full-time position.
