Each image is repeatedly recompressed using different settings and compared to your original, producing a file size vs quality chart.
PNG images have their number of colors reduced with minimized visual impact and are optimally recompressed.
JPG images are compressed using MozJPEG. It optimizes your image using e.g. trellis quantization, chroma subsampling and progressive scan optimization.
SVG images are compressed by removing unnecessary tags, comments, and attributes; by converting tags and path data to more compact equivalents; by reducing the numerical precision of path data; and by optionally exporting to the SVGZ format.
RMSE is the root-mean-square per-pixel recompression error and MAX ERROR is the maximum per-pixel error.
These are statistical representations of how different the compressed image is from the original image.
