I’m at #WorldOceansDay to deliver a clear message to world leaders about the impact of +1.5°C on our oceans. The effects are unthinkable and we cannot ignore this crisis for any longer.

The science is that at 1.5°C warming, 70% of coral reefs disappear. At 2°C warming, 99% of coral reefs disappear. It's now up to all of us to do everything we can to avoid these awful scenarios.

A true underdog story: This sea turtle successfully evaded the jaws of a tiger shark. Photographer Declan DeHaas captured the stunning overhead footage off the coast of Western Australia and confirmed the turtle ultimately made it to shore safely. Nature is awesome.

Biodiversity used to be about abundance. Now it is about loss. We need to take a step back and realise just what we are doing to the animal kingdom. #BiodiversityDay
