Comparative Medicine is a distinct discipline of experimental medicine that uses animal models of human and animal disease in translational and biomedical research. The Department of Comparative Medicine at Stanford is an academic department whose faculty teach at the undergraduate, graduate, professional and post graduate levels. Congratulations to Dr. Monika Huss who has received the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) Foundation’s 2022 Greg Boivin Memorial Award!
Her award winning research project is entitled "Evaluation of the Analgesic Efficacy and Pathological Effects of Carprofen in Mice". Dr. Huss’ work focuses on the health and care of research animals and we wish her team (Drs. Cholawat Pacharinsak, Eden Alamaw, Renee Cotton, and Kerriann Casey) every success with this project.
