Tours for Approved Groups/Organizations to resume in July (Updated 6/8/2022)

The Office of Undergraduate Admission is pleased to announce that guided tours of campus for groups of prospective students (schools, organizations, etc) are scheduled to resume during the summer from July 5 through August 18, with 45-minute tours offered at designated times on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays only.
See details

The Office of Undergraduate Admission offers guided tours by appointment for prospective undergraduate student groups of 10 or more people (up to 100 max) from the following categories:

  • High Schools
  • Community Colleges
  • Not-For-Profit Organizations focused on Access or Exposure to College
  • Qualifying Community Based Organizations
Other groups: Middle schools, grade schools, and other qualifying organizations may request approval to visit and park on campus, and can be provided with resources to enjoy a self-guided visit with age appropriate sites, resources, and activities, but we are sorry to say that we are no longer providing staffing for guided tours for these age levels.

Requests that have already been submitted for summer will be reviewed in the coming days and receive responses based upon availability and qualifying status. New requests must be submitted by email to grouptours@stanford.edu.

Please note that we will not grant requests for group visits through commercial or third party tour operators. All requests and communications must come from and and be processed through a qualifying organization. We're sorry, but tours are also not offered as programming time for summer conferences or camp programs (outside of college-bound programs).

Group visits are usually limited to a maximum of 100 participants, and may be limited to fewer on certain dates.

Prospective Undergraduates - Discover Stanford this summer! (Updated 6/8/2022)

Thinking about college? Starting July 11th, you can Discover Stanford this summer, either with a multi-faceted campus visit or a live Virtual Visit.
See details

While visitors are welcome to visit campus throughout June, prospective undergraduate students and their supporters can Discover Stanford this summer on weekdays starting the week of Monday, July 11 and lasting through September 2. Each weekday will feature the ability to take a guided or self-guided tour of campus and to attend an Admission Information Session.

In addition, most Mondays and Fridays will include our popular noon-time "Student Forum" -- a casual opportunity for prospective undergrads to sit down with a handful of current Stanford students (no parents allowed!) and talk about what it's like to be a student on the Farm. Questions are encouraged, but you can also just listen. Bring your lunch if you like! No registration necessary -- just show up.

For those who can't make it out to Stanford, you can also Discover Stanford from home (or wherever you have an internet connection!) with our live online Admission Information Session & Student Forum panel discussions. Additional virtual offerings can help you get a sense of Stanford from your favorite cozy spot at home.

Registration for these programs is located under the "Engage" tab at admission.stanford.edu.

A link to our popular 360° video tour of the central campus can be viewed at any time. The 13-minute tour (linked just below on this site) is narrated by multiple Stanford undergraduates and is a completely immersive experience when watched on a mobile device!
