Long Range Planning

 

The Long Range Planning division within the Department of Planning & Development Services guides and develops visioning and implementation programs for the City's housing, land use and community development policies and programs.

This dynamic team spearheads policy updates and reports, land use analyses, public engagement initiatives and community master plans citywide. The team collaborates closely with other agencies and jurisdictions, including the Association of Bay Area Governments, the County of Santa Clara, and State of California, to make sure that Palo Alto’s planning programs and policies not only follow, but set, best practices in the Bay Area and beyond.
