Confidential Tip

The Palo Alto Police Department values receiving information from community members.  While we prefer to have community members call our 24-hour dispatch center or visit our front desk to receive service (visit our Contact Directory page for more information), we realize that sometimes, people may feel more comfortable submitting a confidential, anonymous tip to us.

If you would like to submit a confidential, anonymous tip, please complete the form below.

DO NOT USE THIS FORM if you are reporting a crime in progress, an emergency, or any situation that merits an in-person immediate response from a police officer. 

This form is intended for non-emergency tips. Instead of using this form, you can call 9-1-1 or our 24-hour dispatch center at (650) 329-2413.  You can request to remain anonymous to the Public Safety Dispatcher who answers your call.
