I found a baby bird that fell from a nest that did not seem likely to make it on its own. When I called the owner, she gave me terrific advice and also offered to take in the little critter and do the best they can to help it survive. I was completely impressed by her dedication, drive and passion and she made me feel comfortable that I was doing the right thing. It was a drive but knowing that baby birdie was in good hands, it was worth it. An impressive, glorious place out in the country. The world needs more people like her and her little staff in it. The staff at barnswallow are very professional and compassionate. I took an injured hawk in and they took care of it and kept me updated on its progress! Great work they are doing!
Linda and her staff are so amazing. They care for each and every feathered soul that comes through their doors. They really understand all of their needs in their time of need. I have had the pleasure of volunteering with them and have learned a GREAT deal about our feathered friends.
I interned at Barnswallow a couple of years ago and have continued my career as a wildlife rehabilitator since then. Linda and Kali are truly wonderful and caring. Each bird is treated on an individual basis with the ultimate goal of being released back into the wild. They are always willing to answer questions and will go above and beyond to save our feathered friends. Thank you Barnswallow for all the amazing work you continue to do!
One thing I especially appreciated about my experience with Barnswallow was that they answer their phone! I’ve brought in multiple birds throughout the years and the staff has always been friendly and knowledgeable. I know they do their best to nurse the birds back to health so they will eventually be released. The pamphlets they gave me were very informative, too. If you find an injured bird in the area (or even far away!) I would recommend you bring it to Barnswallow to have the best chance of survival!
This organization does great things for local wildlife. They uphold great standards and have consistent care for the animals they take in. Great customer service as well.
