Baby steps is a much needed organization in a pivotal time of Seattles history that has created great prosperity for some but also great poverty for others. Baby steps is great organization that stands to bridge the widening gap between the haves and have nots in order to enrich all parties involved.

Over the years, I have watched Babysteps Ministry transform the lives of the homeless. It's amazing what could happen when you invest a little bit of your time into someone else's life. You begin to realize what is truly important.

I have known of Babysteps Ministry from it's foundation. They do a wonderful job of creating relationships, long lasting relationships with the homeless of seattle, Lynnwood and Kirkland. those relationships have led to some real honest changes in peoples lives. I have witnessed how being there for people, helping them get to appointments, encouraging them on their path upwards can change lives.

I had the opportunity to volunteer with BabySteps and it was an amazing experience! I also attended one of their info sessions on "How to Talk to the Homeless". I love that BabySteps Ministry emphasizes building RELATIONSHIPS with homeless individuals. They seek to help and share Christ's love to homeless individuals through relational meals, which is a lot more helpful than simply handing out food. I hope that as BabySteps becomes more recognized, more people would be motivated and fueled by Christ's love to see the homeless individuals as people, friends, fellow community members.

I have been coming out for only a couple months now, but I can say that in every aspect of babysteps (whether it's the food preparing step or the handing out food/ making relationships step) the people here are doing this all out of love and genuine care for these people.
I also think it's great that the reason behind this is not to make a difference in their lives just by keeping their stomachs full, but making relationships happen. Because food can keep you alive, but relationships have the power to change lives.

I have been volunteering/working with Babysteps. I love their mission and goal! They are not just about giving free handouts, which often harms more than helps. Rather they desire to equip and enable through building relationships and introducing individuals to the power of Christ! This is not just an ideal to be reached but I have seen their vision come to fruition in individuals over the past year! Definitely week to week it can feel like at times that we are not doing much, but collectively I know such good things are happening!

Babysteps has the right mindset as an organization. It's not about giving away resources, it's about sustainable change through relationships. They're doing amazing work!

Babysteps ministry has an amazing group of committed and organized individuals serving the homeless. I'm impressed by the level of detail and thought that goes into not only why they do what they do but the means by which they do their outreach. This organization is motivated by Christ's love for His people and are passionate about acting on this love. They provide a community and seek to empower individuals on the streets by forming relationships with them. In addition, I love that the food they serve at relational meal events are meant to be healthy and prepared with fresh ingredients. They truly seek to love their neighbors on the streets as family members and not as projects to be worked on.
